Texas Plumbers Rescue Dog Bound with Tape, Who Can't Stop Wagging His Tail in Thankfulness
Plumbers Rescue Dog with Taped Mouth and Legs, and He Can't Stop Wagging His Tail
While driving to their job, Texas plumber Carlos Carrillo and his coworker stumbled upon an unexpected sight in a roadside ditch. Initially unsure of what they were seeing, the pair soon realized it was a dog, left for dead with its mouth taped shut and legs bound with tubing.
Carlos, who works for Shoreline Plumbing, shared with The Dodo their decision to stop and help the helpless animal after making the surprising discovery.
The two men quickly sprang into action, carefully freeing the dog from his cruel restraints. "He seemed to be in a good mood," Carlos recounted, describing the dog's affectionate nature, filled with gratitude and relief. The plumbers suspected the poor dog had been there for only a day or two.
After rescuing him, Carlos and his coworker drove the grateful canine to Peewee's Pet Adoption, a local shelter known for not euthanizing animals.
The dog, now safe, couldn't contain his joy. "Look at that face," Carlos noted, commenting on the dog's visible excitement and understanding of his rescue.
Upon examination, the shelter discovered the dog had heartworms, but was otherwise in decent health. A Peewee's representative told The Dodo, "His tail won't stop wagging," highlighting the dog's sweet demeanor despite his ordeal.
The person responsible for abandoning the dog was never found, yet because of the plumbers' heroic act, the dog now has a fresh start. All he needs is a loving forever home, where he can continue to enjoy life filled with wagging tails and affection.
