Heartbroken Puppy Holds on to His Mother's Memory, Until Rescuers Give Him a Second Chance!
The question of whether animals feel emotions often sparks debate, but for those who love and understand them, the answer is clear.
They experience joy, hunger, fear, and deep sorrow—especially when they lose someone they love.
This became painfully evident when a grieving puppy in India refused to leave the side of his deceased mother.
Many people hesitated to intervene, unsure of how the puppy might react. Days passed, and the heartbreaking sight of the tiny pup curled up beside his mother's lifeless body circulated online. Somi Gopalan saw one of these images on Facebook, but at the time, she had no idea where the puppy was. Determined to help, she searched tirelessly until she finally located him.
According to The Voice of Stray Dogs (VOD), the puppy and his mother had been in the same place for about a week. When Somi arrived, she took immediate action, gently approaching the grieving pup.
Convincing him to leave his mother's side was no easy task, but she remained patient and eventually gained his trust.
Once the puppy was safe, Somi ensured that his mother received a proper burial. Though the pup had suffered an unimaginable loss, he was now in caring hands.
While it's heartbreaking to see such moments exploited online for personal gain, the good news is that this little one has been rescued and will receive all the love he needs to heal.
Thanks to the compassion of Somi and VOD, he now has a second chance at a happy life.
