He maintained vigil all day long while remaining close to the kittens because he was still hopeful that the mother would come looking for her young.

When night fell and the kittens' mother was nowhere to be seen, the lady made an improvised shelter in the garden, covered it with blankets, and laid down some quilts. She also provided them with water and food, which they wolfed down in no time.

The next day, the mother went to visit the kittens and saw them lovingly snuggled up after spending the night in a secure location.

Even though they had spent the night in a cozy and secure location without their mother, no one in the area was looking for them.
