Earlier in May this year, Purrfect Cat Rescue of Crystal Lake, IL, took in a cat named Wishbone who had been struggling to survive on her own after her owner passed away! Alone in her house along with her deceased owner, she was dehydrated, and not only starving for food, but she was also starving for affection. She had been found just in time.

"One of our newest loves…beautiful Wishbone. She is so sweet…constantly purring," Purrfect Cat Rescue wrote on Facebook.

In addition to her emaciated state, Wishbone was suffering from a now untreated medical issue.

"She has had a very rough go of it recently. After being found living with her deceased owner for weeks, we are lucky to have saved her in time. Hyperthyroid and extremely skinny. Attention deprived."

Now that Wishbone had been rescued, along with being showered with food she was also finally showered with affection.

"We have reassured her that she is so loved and won't ever be lonely or hungry again," Purrfect Cat Rescue.

Like many of us, Wishbone has a favorite food. The difficult part was if it was not available, she often turned up her nose at what was presented.
