Mau was about two years old when he was discovered in a cemetery by a good samaritan. He was bone-thin, exhausted, dehydrated, and his breathing was so weak that he lay helpless on the side of the road.

Many people passed by, but everyone was silent and assumed the boy had died. Looking at Mau, he couldn't stop the tears from falling, and he felt sorry for her tragic fate. He got Mau out of there as quickly as he could. All the vets were closed because it was a holiday, so he had to take Mau home.
