According to the reserve's director, Vadim Kirilyuk, the little cat had been in hiding for a few days inside an old train carriage somewhere in Siberia. Eventually, someone heard a faint meow and discovered the kitten.
As soon as the team at the reserve got hold of the hungry kitten, they faced a dilemma on how to feed her. Despite her obvious malnutrition, no one knew exactly how to get her the nourishment she needed. Luckily, the Moscow Zoo came to their aid and provided a syringe to feed the kitty. However, it wasn't an easy task to make the little one eat and drink, especially without her mother around. It was going to be a rough journey ahead for the young wild cat.
