After a while, I trailed the mother cat to a cluster of felines huddled together in a warmer spot. It seemed she had prepared in advance for such situations and had already discovered a more sheltered haven for her kittens. Nevertheless, a sense of dismay overcame me when I realized that even that locale might not be entirely safe during heavy rainfall.
Unable to bear the thought of the mother cat and her kittens being exposed to the rain and potential perils, I resolved to bring them home with me. I offered the mother cat some nourishment to replenish her energy and facilitate milk production for her kittens. She gratefully accepted the sustenance, and her eyes reflected a profound sense of relief.
