After a while, I followed the mother cat to a pack of cats huddled together in a warmer spot. It seemed like she had prepared in advance for such situations and had already found a more sheltered place for her kittens. However, my heart sank as I realized that even that location was not entirely safe during heavy rains.
Unable to bear the thought of the mother cat and her kittens being exposed to the rain and potential danger, I made a decision to bring them home with me. I offered the mother cat some food to provide her with the nourishment she needed to produce milk for her kittens. She gratefully accepted the food, and I could see the relief in her eyes.
I quickly prepared a cozy cage for them with warm blankets for the kittens to lie on. I could see the mother cat's gratitude as she carefully settled her babies into the comfortable space. She curled up next to them, keeping them warm and safe.
