Nico, the sole female pet in the family, is in full "Mama mode" as she watches over Teddy. She's always by his side, never relaxing and always vigilant to protect her small human pal. The mom comments that she's observed a shift in Nico's conduct after Teddy was born.

When Teddy plays with his toys, we discover that the dogs have taken over his old toys. Even a plush elephant that was formerly Teddy's is now being played with by the dogs. It's a lovely reminder of how animals can create great ties and love, not only with people, but with their other.
