Michael Shinkle enjoys going camping with his kid. Their favorite site is a hidden little hideaway away from the rest of the world, but the last time they went, they were surprised to see someone else there.

Shinkle and his son saw a cat wandering around the woods alone when they arrived at their camping area. Shinkle felt she had been abandoned since she was quite emaciated. His kid began befriending the adorable cat as he was setting up their campsite, and Shinkle had a hunch the cat would be returning home with them after the camping vacation was over.
