Fortunately, two caring folks came found the abandoned puppy, entangled in the foliage, and acted quickly to rescue her from her perilous situation. The puppy, dubbed Gorgojita by her rescuers, was in pitiful condition, emaciated and unable to walk. The rescuers promptly took her under their care, determined to alter her life for the better and prevent her from suffering the same fate as her mother.

It's difficult to understand why animals must experience such excruciating pain and misery at the hands of humans, who are supposed to be their defenders and caregivers. Gorgojita's thin and emaciated frame, weak condition, dehydration, and severe anemia serve as striking memories of the horrors committed on innocent people.

Gorgojita had a battery of testing to evaluate her viral, chemical, and plaque levels in order to give the best possible care. Her pleading eyes filled with dread and anguish with each inspection, beseech her rescuers not to give her any more pain.
