It was a long and bumpy ride to the vet, but we made it there at around 5:00 P.M. We handed the dog over to the vet, who immediately started examining him. Fortunately, the X-ray showed no broken bones, which was a relief to all of us.
However, our relief was short-lived when the vet discovered that there was a bullet lodged in the middle of the dog's spine. We were shocked and saddened to hear this news. How could someone be so cruel as to shoot a defenseless animal and leave it out in the cold and wet weather to suffer?
